Paraquat dichloride is a bipyridilium herbicide that works by disrupting the electron transport chain in plants.   Mode of Action  Gramoxone is absorbed by the leaves of the weeds and then translocated throughout the plant. It accumulates in the chloroplasts, which are the plant's "powerhouses".
