Description:Streptocycline is  an  Antibacterial  Antibiotic  formulation  recommended  for  effective control  of  bacterial  diseases  of  plants. It is a  yellow  coloured  free  flowing  powder containing  Streptomycin  Sulphate  and  Tetracycline  Hydrochloride  in  a  ratio of  9:1. It is readily  soluble  in  water  and  being  systemic  in  action  gets  readily  absorbed  in  the  plant when sprayed and does not get washed off in rain.Composition:Streptocycline Sulphate: 90% w/wTetracycline Hydrochloride: 10% w/wRecommendations and Dosage per acre basis:Streptocycline is recommended against following plant diseases S.No. Crop Disease Dose 1 Rice Bacterial leaf Blight 6 grams in 60 liter of water6 grams in 120 Liter water 2 Chilli and Tomato Black spot 6grams in 60 to 120 liter water 3 Cabbage and Cauliflower Black spot 1 grams in 10 Liter water6 grams in 60 Liter water 4 Potato Brown rot 6 grams in 120 liter water 5 Cucumber Leaf spot 6 grams in 120 liter water 6 Cotton Angular leaf spot & black arm 6 grams in 60-120 liter water6 grams in 120 liter water 7 Citrus   Citrus Canker 6 grams in 60-120 liter water 8 Grapes, Sugarcane, Mango Bacterial Diseases 6 grams in 60-120 liter water  Preparation of Spray Mixture:Dissolve  required  quantity  of  Streptocycline  directly  in  10  liter  of  water and make up  the desired volume by remaining quantity of water. Compatibility:Streptocycline  may  be  used  in  combination  with  Aureofungin  sol  for  the  control  of bacterial and fungal diseases.Streptocycline is compatible with most of the commonly used insecticides and fungicides.Toxicity: Streptocycline is non toxic to plants, animals and human beings.  However, it is advisable to follow normal  precaution  recommended for  handling  of  pesticides,  such  as  avoiding  prolonged  exposure to skin, inhalation and inadvertent ingestion.
